In Summer Communications
One of the most common questions we hear is, “how will I communicate with my child?”
Sending your child to sleepaway camp is both exciting and nerve-wracking. As parents, Iain and Amy understand that staying connected with your camper isn’t just about logistics—it’s about peace of mind. You want to know they’re happy, safe, and having the time of their lives, while also respecting their independence and camp experience. We’ve designed our communication system with both your needs and your camper’s best interests in mind, balancing your desire to stay connected with their opportunity to grow and thrive in this special environment.
Session Communication Outline
Over the course of your camper’s session, you will hear from camp through various communication methods:
-
First Year Phone calls
All first year families receive a phone call from their camper's Head Counselor within the first few days of the session. -
Camp-wide Emails
Starting with bus arrival confirmations and bunk assignments, you will be well-informed of the goings-on at Camp Twin creeks! -
Daily Photos
Check in on your camper by viewing 300-400 daily photos capturing a variety of activities every day. -
Social Media Updates
Follow the fun and check out our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts for realtime updates during each session.

Bunk1.com
We use Bunk1.com throughout the summer for parent communications.
Through your account you will be able to send your camper emails, which we print daily at 11am. We do not offer email replies at this time. Please see “snail mail” for more information on how to contact your camper.
We also post daily photos to the Bunk1 gallery for families at home to enjoy! Bunk1 offers the use of facial recognition for additional ease 🙂
Camp-Wide Emails
Keep an eye on your inbox for a few in session emails from camp.
These emails can range from transportation, notifications to cabin updates, so we recommend keeping an eye on your email while your camper is with us.
Additionally, our office is staffed throughout the summer to answer any questions by phone or email!
Optional Phone Calls
You have the option to schedule one phone call with your camper during their session.
This is not a requirement, and not all campers call home. If you would like to schedule an optional phone call, please contact our office by either calling 914-345-0707 or emailing community@camptwincreels.com.

Snail Mail
Letters
In order to hear from your child while they are at Camp Twin Creeks, they will write you a letter to go through the post office. It’s old school, but a fun and traditional way to hear about their camp experience!
We recommend sending campers with pre-addressed envelopes to send home. And campers love receiving snail mail as well!
Please address letters to:
Camper’s Name
9235 Huntersville Road
Marlinton, WV 24954
Packages
Our office has a strict no packages policy. Additionally, we cannot accept any food deliveries to camp. Any food sent to camp will be disposed of.
If you would like to send your camper a small gift, we recommend something flat like stickers that can fit in a standard envelope. If your camper has a birthday, please contact our office to discuss appropriate mail.
